I have been using this app for some time and am very satisfied with the results
I was able to find lost parts of my family thanks to this app.
Come a long way since we got interested in genealogy! And now especially with DNA! :)
This app helps me to identify my historical ancestors as well as create a historical background and timeline for my children follow and easily add to. Easy to use, it gives me the flexibility to modify and track tidbits of information at a moments notice, at any time. I love this app
Really liking the app, love seeing the census and some photos of ancestors and all the information. Learning even more about the family history. A must have!
This is one of the best designed apps in the App Store. A must have for all ancestry.com trees.

Some bad moments

iPhone 6S with iOS 9.3.2 At first its free, then the membership fees are outrageous! The disgusting thing about that is that the members do the majority of the work (most of the information is provided and shared by members) and the Mormons get all the money, and theyre making billions on this! Then they get all their young people to line up next to baptismals and, using the information we provide, they re-baptize all of our long-deceased ancestors by proxy in the Mormon religion. Its true! That, along with the money this is making for the Mormon church, is the whole purpose for the Ancestry conglomerate and the Mormon obsession with genealogy. Theyre trying to steal our ancestors souls! If it didnt provide such a useful platform for building ones family tree, I wouldnt bother. Good thing I dont believe that baptizing dead people by proxy has any power over their souls whatsoever.
Up until today Ive been loving the app, rated it 5 stars, using it everyday, and seldom do I have to turn on my computer. Until this morning! I Id the latest update on my iPad and my tree has disappeared! I have all my people listed but cannot view the whole tree. I do not want to delete and reinstall to see if that will fix things because I was working on stuff last night and Im afraid all my hard work will be gone. What now? Bug fixes I hope!!!
I tried this out and input all the familial information I had. It then asked to confirm with certain records. Some of these records were wrong but there was no way to correct them. I put on my mothers info, including the date of her marriage and it looked her up using her maiden name only. This was also true of my grandmother and great grandmother. We emigrated to Canada and it provided birth records of people of similar names to my parents who were born in Canada. Why would it do that? If you are looking for an ancestor app that records information that you already know then this will work if you have the patience to input the same information several times over. If you are looking for an app that will use the information that you input intuitively then you will be disappointed. For me, I am just about to delete this app.
This is a waste of time. Do not buy anything in app, it is a scam. You have to add everyone manually... I dont know anyones name above my grandparents, this wont help you. $30 gone, do not be fooled. The app will keep hinting that you are connected but that persons tree is private. It keeps accessing their website to safari making things too small to see.... Plus your relatives name will only show up on census if you are lucky! Then use initials for you family and birthdates and you get the same documents... Check it out but do not spend any money
The app keeps crashing since the update. Ive tried restarting my phone, closing app, everything. I cant open it any more...
