The tree feature is much easier to use than the main site. The hints provide sufficient information to determine a match verses the main site. I use this app in tandem with the main site. Recommend this app for both beginners and veterans

Its a lot easier using the app rather than using a browser on the iPhone. There are some issues that I have noticed. When I changed my middle name spelling, on the app it and cleared out all of my ancestors. Now it still was available on the desktop version. Deleting the app and adding it again, seem to work somewhat. Another issue when using the app again the next day. Information for my wifes family was no longer showing on the app. I deleted the app and add it again. Old information is showing but not the new added in. Lots of bugs.

This is great for on the go finding. Helps with the pc version when you need it.

Up until today Ive been loving the app, rated it 5 stars, using it everyday, and seldom do I have to turn on my computer. Until this morning! I Id the latest update on my iPad and my tree has disappeared! I have all my people listed but cannot view the whole tree. I do not want to delete and reinstall to see if that will fix things because I was working on stuff last night and Im afraid all my hard work will be gone. What now? Bug fixes I hope!!!

This app will help you figure out exactly who you are who is in your family who is related visually put in front of you decades and centuries of your family

Glitches still in the app

This app is fabulous...easy to use. Fun to add photos and individuals. I have over 1500 individuals. My daughter-in-law is of French-Canadian origin and it was a breeze to go back to the early 1600s and add her branch of the family tree to the main trunk. The display is gorgeous and it is always a pleasure to show the family tree to relatives and friends who are duly impressed.

The flexibility of being able to carry my family tree with me is great. Quickly able to share and add new info as I meet family members.

Totally amazing app. Occasionally work on family history, and just love this app more and more.

Althought editing is possible, this application is best suited for viewing trees. It synchronizes very well with the data stored on the Ancestry site. To make it better, it would need to be able to look at another window while seeing the tree. Finaly, it would also be nice if reports could be trigered from pointing at one person on the tree.

Great and easy. Expensive but worth it

You cant go wrong, its beautiful, its delightful. Full of mystery and frustrations , Im at that wall. But Im not giving up. This is why, you should join, so you can help break that wall, maybe you are the missing link? Who knows. Come and see how that green leaf, can introduce you to a wonderful story, your own history. Found so many family members

The Ancestry app is great! I use it all the time to refer to different branches of my family tree and get details. Remember, the app is only as good as the tree youve built on Ancestry. If youve spent the time and built a good reliable tree, then the app works great for quick reference when youre talking to relatives or doing genealogical research away from your main computer. If you have added profile pictures for people in your tree, the app is that much nicer to use! Love it, will always use it.

Wish it wasnt so expensive but I have managed to find a lot of people still in my family.

I love this app, and the access through the subscriptions, but the app needs to come up to par with the website. The website has a number of features the app doesnt yet have.

Easy

I tried this out and input all the familial information I had. It then asked to confirm with certain records. Some of these records were wrong but there was no way to correct them. I put on my mothers info, including the date of her marriage and it looked her up using her maiden name only. This was also true of my grandmother and great grandmother. We emigrated to Canada and it provided birth records of people of similar names to my parents who were born in Canada. Why would it do that? If you are looking for an ancestor app that records information that you already know then this will work if you have the patience to input the same information several times over. If you are looking for an app that will use the information that you input intuitively then you will be disappointed. For me, I am just about to delete this app.

Easy to use. Ties in nicely with the same package on my desktop.
